Holy Trinity Church is located on the High Street, in the heart of Bosham village and is a church where everyone is welcome. We are a church which values community and we always seek to reflect this in our services, our activities and in providing opportunities for everyone to get involved.
Bosham is the oldest known place of worship in Sussex, lying at the heart of the idyllic Chichester Harbour and at the foot of the stunning South Downs National Park.
Bosham Church is always open during daylight hours and you are most welcome to visit. Photography is permitted and the crypt is available for quiet reflection.

With a history dating back to medieval times and a mention in the Bayeux Tapestry, we’re proud of our rich heritage. Today, with over a thousand years of worship behind us, we’re stronger than ever – a vibrant, supportive and welcoming community, united in our Christian faith.
The parish is fortunate enough to have its own magazine – Bosham Life is the magazine for the church and the village. Published monthly, the A5 glossy colour magazine is well worth subscribing to and the subscription form can be found on the Bosham Life website.
The church is open to all and we warmly welcome all visitors. Our congregation is drawn from a diverse mix of backgrounds, ages and interests and our busy calendar of events ensures there really is something for everyone here.
The church of The Holy Trinity, Bosham, is one of the earliest churches in Sussex and documented evidence show that there was a small Christian community in Bosham in the 7th century, making it the oldest site of Christianity in Sussex.

By Train
Bosham Station is on the main railway line which runs between Brighton and Portsmouth. The station is in the north of the village and is about 1 mile from the church and harbour.
By Bus
The 700 Bus Service (Brighton to Portsmouth) stops at the Swan Roundabout on the A259. A frequent, local service from Chichester comes right to the centre of the village.
By Road
From the A259 which runs East/West along the south coast turn south at the Swan Public House Roundabout and follow the signs to the Church and Harbour. As you approach the heart of the village the public Car Park is sign-posted to the left. Please use it as the Quay is private property and not available for parking. Shore Road is also unsuitable for parking as it floods during High Tides which occur twice a day. (floating cars are one of the local ‘sports’).
Whichever your method of arrival, take a stroll down the High Street, past the ‘Anchor Bleu’ pub (open all day) and you will see the church on your right.
After looking around the church and its grounds proceed across the little bridge over the millstream on to the Quay and savour the beautiful views down Bosham Creek, the Old Mill – now home to the Bosham Sailing Club, over Quay Bridge (tide permitting) and along Shore Road.

Yes, we are always delighted to here from couples who wish to celebrate their love in the presence of Christ at our church.
You do however, need to have a qualifying connection as defined in the Marriage Measure 2008 and more information is contained on our Weddings and Baptisms page.
If you meet these requirements, there can be few more beautiful locations in which to hold your wedding service and the popularity of the church means that we have a busy calendar of weddings throughout the year.
Not at all. We welcome regular worshippers and those just visiting the area. Please do make yourself known to either the Vicar or a member of the Parish team and we’ll make sure you’re made to feel welcome!
There are all sorts of ways to get involved at Holy Trinity Church, whether it is participating in charity programme, attending one of our social events or assisting in the various activities run by the church. If you have an idea of what you would like to do, get in touch with a relevant team member to have a chat about how you can get involved.
Unfortunately, there is no parking available at Holy Trinity Church, but we are fortunate to have a large public pay and display car park nearby. Simply follow directions into the village and the car park is well signposted.
Absolutely! Children, youth events and young adult learning are all a big part of Parish life here at Holy Trinity Church and Junior Church Groups are held every Sunday at the 9.30 service. Many families also worship on Saturday evenings at 6.00 pm, the First Holy Communion of Sunday – a family orientated service of 30 minutes.
All volunteers working with children have a current DBS (formerly CRB) certificate and we adhere to an up-to-date child protection policy.
Absolutely! Children, youth events and young adult learning are all a big part of Parish life here at Holy Trinity Church and Junior Church Groups are held every Sunday at the 9.30 service, apart from the second Sunday of each month when there is a family service.
All volunteers working with children have a current DBS (formerly CRB) certificate and we adhere to an up-to-date child protection policy.
